• The amount and quality of information available will vary
  • some are designed primarily for internal use (Intranets)
  • some are designed primarily as promotional vehicles
  • some attempt to do both
• A good way to guess the URL (Web page address) of a universities homepage is to try http://www.university_name.edu.au/
